As you should all be aware, if we have a COVID case in the office the local government unit (LGU) requires us to close the facility for 24 hours for deep cleaning and to complete contact tracing. The directive to close the office from the LGU is often at very short notice, is non-negotiable and non-compliance risks closures beyond 24 hours which other companies have faced. optiBPO is focused on ensuring the safety of our teams, as well as full compliance with all health directives.
We want to make clear the protocols in the event of a temporary (24 hour) shutdown:
- We will not be able to shift PCs to work from home for those only subject to the 24 hour shutdown
- If a person is deemed a close contact is required to home quarantine beyond the 24 hours, we will seek to dispatch asap following the office re-opening
- Team members that are unable to work as a result of a shutdown will be required to take leave, which will reduce their leave balance
- Team members that do have a backup PC at home will be able to continue to work
Your Account Manager is always available to discuss this specifically with you, and we have also sent a similar communication to all of our clients to ensure alignment.
